The time for behind the door canvassing is near finished as the transition committees must have near finalised their list of possible persons to work with the new Government.
The people selected to work with Buhari will determine the success or failure of the government, against this unrealistically high expectations of the people.
In my wildest dreams, I wish, my wishes become horses so we all can ride and gallop on. The people I hope to see with Buhari include, in no order or priority, Prof. Tam David West, I have respect for this gentle man who will not be stopped from telling the world the Nigerian Petroleum Industry can do better and at a much lower cost even now in our days. He does not have many admirers in the industry, but can do much better than the so many come and chops that have been paraded of late.
Prof Pat Utomi, with his Gang and several attempts at the top, he has garnered and is a store of contemporary knowledge useful for the uplifting of our nations, educational, industrial and economic sectors of our nation, thanks to the PAN African University Crew.
Prof Oluremi Sonaiya, This Lady is one that has surpassed our Mother of female aspirants (Mama Sarah Jibril). She has brought KOWA Party from the silence of extinction to at least a near 35% recognition nationally. I see in her a Gender balancing representative that can stand the like of Hilary, Susan Rice, Magdalene Al-bright and the lots. As the government is of able persons inclusion and not party rewards, she should be given a chance to showcase our femininity with a literate sense of reason and purpose( not like what we have been seeing in the past, comedies of the 1st families).
Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, The gains of the elections and peace in the African Continent especially has the direct and indirect diplomatic inclusions of this father of ours.
Abike Dabiri a woman leader of repute, a mass mobilizer and down to earth leader. An ambassador of women that will carry the girl and boy child along. She paid her price during the electioneering season.
Dr Ibrahim Yakubu Lame, a reason for some major successes of APC in Bauchi and the North East. A founding element of APC, believer of human development and a voice appreciated by the masses.
The list will not be ended without persons like, Ayo Aderinwale, the Chief Executive of Africa Leadership Forum, a sage of African Affairs like no other and human developer of repute. Patriotism and loyalty graciously radiates from Ayo without stress.
Idi Faruk Snr, a strategist of repute and mass mobilizer.
Where will I place persons like Olu Falae; Prof Akpan of an ECOWAS Monetary institution; Chris Anyawu, if he not tired; Prof. Akinyemi; Mr Tom Maiyashi of the MAMSER fame from Kaduna State; General Jaafaru Lawal Isa, one time Kaduna State Governor; Col. Dangiwa Umar; Gen. Dambazzau a one time COAS; The Military Medical General that created a blood transfusion kit some years ago; Ms Bala Usman; Dr Oby Ezekwesili; Bar. Solomon Lalong; Shehu Sani; Bar Chive Kaave of the former BCC Gboko, to mention just few.
It is a wish I hope at least some will come true. Nigeria will need us to stand with our elected person and make a success out of this coming Government. God bless Nigerians and Nigeria at last.
